Answering Walkers Questions

Waymarker Colours
Question
Why does the Millennium Way use two different coloured waymarkers - Black and Green - to highlight the route?
Answer
Normally we use our Black and White waymarkers, but in Worcestershire the County Council have asked us to use GREEN and White waymarkers.
GPS and GPX Files
Question
What does GPS and GPX stand for?
Answer
GPS stands for "Global Positioning System" which is a navigation system operated by satellites orbiting the Earth. It is widely used in-car as a "Satnav".
GPX is simply an international GPS format computer file, which can be used to show the route on a suitable device which contains a map - preferably a detailed Ordnance Survey style map. GPX files can also be opened in Google Earth.
